As an extension to the Flora sponsorship of the 2005 Comrades Marathon, we advised Flora to take their sponsorship to retail by creating a Comrades Experience at which a Flora stand was erected and professional chefs cooked up healthy meals with new Liquid Flora, showing consumers that healthy eating does not have to be boring and that healthy food can still taste great. Strong in-store branding linking the event to Flora was erected for the duration of the campaign.

Measurement & Analysis

We specifically like to measure Return on Objectives (ROO) as opposed to simply Return on Investment ROI. The practise of measuring ROI in the sponsorship industry was created to justify sponsorship investment over other forms of marketing investment; we believe sponsorship is now a widely enough used sponsorship tool to be measured against objectives, not opportunity cost.

To continually improve the effectiveness and efficiency of any sponsorship it is vital to have an extensive measurement and analysis procedure in place.  A comprehensive measurement and analysis plan allows you to see which leveraging activities are most effective and providing a return on your objectives.  Through our strategic alliance with Sports Marketing Surveys SA, KWM can provide our clients with a tailor-made measurement and analysis package which includes the latest international methodologies and analysis tools.
