Promos
Further strengthening Kaelo Worldwide Media’s relationship with the SABC, in 2006 the national broadcaster commissioned KWM to take over the production of the SABC Sport promos. This included production of all SABC Sport AVs for both internal and external use, such as various video and long-form presentations made to FIFA in the run-up to the 2010 World Cup.
The promos account itself requires the KWM production unit to produce a variety of 20-second, 30-second and minute-long promos to promote all of SABC Sport’s programming. As such, the KWM production team are tasked with producing in the region of 200 promos a year, showcasing programmes such as “Blow by Blow” and “Laduma” and SABC Sport’s coverage of PSL soccer, Bafana Bafana, the African Cup of Nations, the 2010 World Cup, the Rugby World Cup, Formula One and A1 motorsport, South African international cricket fixtures, the Cricket World Cup and the Twenty20 World Championship, Summer and Winter Olympics, the Comrades Marathon and the Durban July horseracing.
