Through majority shareholder, SK Media Investments, Kaelo is directly linked with IFM Sports Marketing Surveys SA, the world’s largest sport sponsorship research group. Regular interaction between Kaelo strategic staff and IFM Sports Marketing Survey SA offices in the UK, Australia, Europe and the US means that Kaelo is at the forefront of research and measurement techniques being used by top international sponsors and rights-holders.

Sportsworld South Africa:

Sportsworld Group is a leading international specialist event management, hospitality, travel and hospitality programme management company based in the United Kingdom. Established in 1980, Sportsworld Group has evolved and enjoyed success in line with the growth of sport as a commercial industry and hospitality as an effective marketing tool. Its head office is in Abingdon (near Oxford, UK) and it has offices in Vancouver, Sydney, Beijing and Johannesburg.

In line with its global expansion strategy, Sportsworld Group has licensed an independent and wholly South African owned operation in South Africa. SK Media Investments holds a 30% stake and the balance of the shareholding is held by South African management.  Sportsworld South Africa, operating under license from its UK parent company, has unlimited access to the intellectual property, IT systems and operational expertise of its parent company to ensure that the South African operation is a success and that service delivery is of the highest international standard.

Sportsworld Group partners with leading corporates, sponsors, event owners and rights
holders, supporting them to deliver their business objectives by providing professional
services in the following areas:

• Travel and tour operations;
• Hospitality facility conceptualisation and fulfilment;
• Hospitality programme structuring, delivery and management incorporating database and ticket management.

Underlying its delivery model, Sportsworld Group has developed a ‘best-in-class’ custom built IT system to meet the distinctive demands of major sponsorship, hospitality and travel programmes.  The system is sufficiently flexible for any event and any business involving large volumes of tickets and guests.

Sportsworld SA has recently secured the appointment as MTN’s official hospitality programme agency for MTN’s FIFA 2010 sponsorship. Under this appointment Sportsworld SA will manage extensive hospitality programmes for MTN at both the FIFA Confederation’s Cup and the FIFA 2010 World Cup.

On the corporate programme side, its most recent international official appointments include the sponsor hospitality programmes for Samsung and Snickers at the Beijing Olympic Games 2008; HSBC, the official sponsor of the British and Irish Lions in 2009.

manufacturing facilities in Toronto, Edmonton and Doha. In October 2007, The Look Company created the Look Company South Africa with 26% BEE partner SK Media Investments with a view to acquiring major FIFA 2010 World Cup business, which tender processes are currently underway. In addition, The Look Company SA has already done work for Standard Bank, The Johannesburg Development Agency, Metropolitan, Bonitas and various smaller jobs for Group companies Kaelo Worldwide Media and IFM Sports Marketing Surveys SA.

The Look Company has also offered turnkey Look solutions to corporate brands such as McDonald’s Corporation, Pepsi-Cola Company, Walmart Stores Inc, Hudson Bay Company.

The Look Company was the Official Supplier, Look Project Management, for
the 15th Asian Games Doha 2006. Its state-of- the-art facilities in the Doha
Industrial Area house a team of 300 professionals, all dedicated to ensure that the successful and timely implementation of the Look Program makes the
15th Asian Games Doha 2006 go down in history as the Games of a lifetime.
